Dear Australian Spring Community
Welcome to the second email in our new Australasia-Spring-Interest list.
This email is to let you know that next month we are holding Spring User
Group meetings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane:
Sydney, Mon 6 November 2006 - see http://tinyurl.com/yhtwe3
Brisbane, Wed 8 November 2006 - see http://tinyurl.com/yya6sz
Melbourne, Mon 20 November 2006 - see http://tinyurl.com/swu24
The founder of Spring, Rod Johnson, will be visiting Australia during
November and will be presenting at the meetings. Rod's session is titled
"What's New and Cool in Spring 2.0", and covers XML extensibility, AOP
improvements, dynamic languages (Groovy, JRuby etc), JPA integration
etc. This is a great opportunity for both experienced Spring users and
evaluating users to ask questions about Spring's new features, upgrade
path, roadmap, standards support and anything else of interest.
All Spring User Group meetings are free to attend and there is no
requirement to be a member. Light refreshments and lucky door prizes are
also provided. Last time Rod spoke at one of our User Group Meetings
well over 200 people came along, so places are strictly limited. Please
register early to avoid disappointment (and to help finalize catering).
If you'd like to find out more or register, please use the city-specific
URLs listed above. I look forward to seeing you there.
By the way, our Sydney training course for 27-30 November 2006 is
filling up quickly. Nevertheless, the early-bird discount is still
available if you register before 13 November. Please visit

learn more or to register.
Best regards
Ben Alex
